All the cabins at Ferguson Highlands have each been individually designed to feel like a quiet escape within the working farm, layered with natural materials and a relaxed country sensibility.
With wood fired hot tubs and uninterrupted views across paddocks, bushland and olive grove, each cabin offers a uniquely restful stay in the heart of the South West.
Guided Hive & Honey Tour
Step into the fascinating world of the honeybee. Bees are among the hardest-working creatures on the planet, and a single hive can be home to tens of thousands of them, all working together with remarkable precision.
Suited up in protective gear, you'll join a guide at the hives to see a working colony up close. You'll learn how a hive is organised, from the queen to the workers and drones, how bees communicate, and how they turn nectar into honey. Weather and hive conditions permitting, you may watch a frame being lifted from the hive, spot the queen, and see the honeycomb as it fills.
Highland Cow Experience
Meet one of the world's most recognisable and gentle cattle breeds up close. Originally from the rugged Scottish Highlands, these cattle are known for their long, shaggy coats, sweeping horns and calm, curious nature.
During the experience, you'll head out into the paddock with a guide to meet the herd, learn about their history and how they've adapted to harsh climates, and hear the personalities and quirks of each animal. Depending on the herd's mood, you may get the chance to hand-feed them, give them a brush and snap a few photos with their famous fringes.
